Liang Beach, Most Beautiful Place in Ambon - Liang Beach in central Maluku has been crowned as the most beautiful place in Ambon, Indonesia by the United Nation Development Program (UNDP) in 1990. This was due to their captivating underwater scenery.

Liang is the popular name for the beautiful beach which is located in Liang village. It also has another name, Hunimua Beach. The white carpet of sands stretches along one-kilometer long and 300-meter wide beach.

There are certain months when the beach is calm and only a little wind breezing, which is between September to November and April to May. During other times, the beach is turbid because of the high waves.

Hunimua is 40 kilometers away from the Pattimura International Airport and there are many options to reach the spot. Besides taxis, Trans Amboina  buses are available at Rp10,000  and motorbike ride Rp. 40,000 for each passenger.

But if you go out with friends, it is suggested should hire public transportation such as public transportation to tour around Kota Ambon, because in addition to cost you can also visit many places without worrying about the limitations of transport. One public transportation can usually be rented for Rp. 150,000 to Rp. 200,000 and can hold up to approximately 10 people.

The road is so smooth that it only take 30 minutes to get there. Despite the minimum tourism facility, Liang beach can be a more tempting tourism destination than you can imagine.

Liang Beach has been known since the 90's and some even say that Liang Beach is the best beach in Indonesia.

Once you enter the beach,  you will be greeted by a sparkling white sand exposed to sunlight. Moreover, at this beach, you will see the gradations of white, light green and dark blue. Very fascinating. Liang beach or that have other names Hunimua beach is also famous as the longest white sand beach in Indonesia.

On the beach, taking a nap below the shade of the trees is a good idea. Enjoy the beauty of the beach and enjoy drinks and snacks that sold by traders. 

In one section of the beach, there is wooden pier that can liven up the atmosphere of the beach. Because there are usually a few visitors, especially children fun jumping from the top of the dock and into the water.

Unfortunately, at Liang beach, you can not stay. But when you are with friends still want to stay here, you can set up a tent. But of course do not forget to ask permission from the local guards, or you can try to rent houses that are around the beach Liang.

If you want to visit this beach, you should consider several things, in September to November or April to May that tend to be choppy sea and beaches are usually made of murky water.
